STANDARD's TPU masterbatch is made of carrier resin TPU, color powder or pre-dispersion and additives.
STANDARD masterbatch supports 100% customization to meet the various needs of customers to the greatest extent.
Different from traditional general masterbatches, each formula of our TPU masterbatches corresponds to different colors.
Customers can directly add TPU masterbatch according to the recommended ratios without adjust the color again.
STANDARD TPU masterbatches can ensure the high efficiency of customers' TPU products. Especially high shading black, white, and various colors.
TPU can be classified in two ways. First is by the chemical structure of the soft segment, that's the softer part of the molecular chain. The common ones are polyester TPU, polyether TPU, see the table below for details. Second way is by the chemical structure of the hard segment, which can be aromatic or aliphatic.

This mainly affects yellowing resistance and cost:
Aromatic TPU: Hard segment has benzene rings. Cheaper, strong mechanically, but benzene rings easily oxidize under UV, cause fast yellowing, not good for outdoor or transparent stuff.
Aliphatic TPU: Hard segment has no benzene rings. Excellent UV & yellowing resistance, high transparency. But more expensive, hardness and heat resistance slightly lower than aromatic TPU.
Gives rich, bright, even color. Sometimes involves sub-masterbatch for more delicate color, usually for high transparency or glossy TPU products.

Suppose my company wants to make blue TPU film for outdoor use.
Requirement analysis: High opacity, yellowing resistance (UV outdoor), maybe some slip.
Base choice: Prefer aliphatic TPU (good yellowing resistance, high transparency) or polycarbonate TPU (excellent weathering, high transparency).
