TPE color masterbatch, fully known as thermoplastic elastomer-specific color masterbatch. It is a highly concentrated pigment, dye, or functional additive concentrate that has been precisely designed. It provides efficient, stable and reliable colouring solutions for TPE. It ensures that the colouring components can perfectly blend with the TPE during the molten processing through a special carrier system, dispersants and processing aids.
It can preserve TPE's high elasticity, soft touch, tensile strength, and fatigue resistance as much as possible.
Color masterbatch are similar in shape to TPE resin, and only need to be mixed with TPE raw materials, without extra pigment dispersion processes. It simplifies the production process and improves production efficiency.
It reduces the absorption of water and oxidation of pigments during storage and use, maintains the chemical stability of the pigments and extends their service life.
The use of TPE color masterbatch reduces pigment dust dispersion, protects the health of operators, and avoids environmental pollution.
3.1.1 Carrier Matching: The suitable carrier should be selected based on TPE's type and performance requirements.
3.1.2 Dispersion System: Through surface treatment and dispersing agents, pigment particles are refined and stably coated to prevent gathering during processing or use, and it will ensure color keep bright and uniform.
3.1.3 Processing Temperature: The melting temperature of the masterbatch must match with the TPE's processing temperature to avoid poor pigment dispersion or carrier decomposition.

The addition ratio depends on the depth of color, the pigment concentration of the masterbatch, and the base color of the TPE. If too low, it may result in uneven color distribution, while too high may affect the physical properties and processing flowability of the TPE, increasing costs.
The effect of TPE masterbatch on elasticity is minimal. The key is to ensure the carrier resin in the masterbatch does not break the physical properties of the TPE.
Select high-performance pigments with stable chemical structures and high molecular weights; add specialized color-locking additives to stop molecular migration; ensure processing techniques are suitable in order to fix the pigments.
