Q: Why is there such a large price difference in red masterbatches from different suppliers?
A: The core reason lies in the cost of the pigment itself and the formulation. Cheaper masterbatches may use pigments with poor heat resistance and migration resistance; while expensive masterbatches use high-performance pigments and high-quality additive masterbatches. They may both initially appear red, but their long-term performance and appearance are completely different.
Q: My product is for outdoor use. Are there any special requirements for red masterbatch?
A: Yes, outdoor products must use masterbatch with high weather resistance and UV resistance.
Q: Uneven color (color streaks, color spots) occurs during production. Is this a problem with the masterbatch?
A: It may or may not be. This is usually referred to as a dispersion problem. There are three possible reasons:
- Poor masterbatch quality
- Insufficient processing temperature, insufficient mixing time, or too weak screw shear force.

A: Masterbatches used for food contact applications must use raw materials that comply with food-grade safety regulations. This cannot be replaced with ordinary masterbatches.
